Editorial Board and Scientific Committee

Scientific Committee

The scientific committee grows by cooptation among the active contributors of IPOL. Editorial members are nominated for a renewable two years term. IPOL encourages an active participation of editorial members to the journal. Therefore editorial members having contributed to the journal as authors and referees during their two years term, will be automatically renewed.

Coordinating editor, starting April 29th, 2010 : Jean-Michel Morel.
The coordinating editor is elected by the scientific committee for a non renewable four years period.

Editorial Board

Publishing in IPOL requires special skills (web-oriented edition, web interface design, sometimes code review and improvement). These skills are not common among authors. For this reason, in addition to its scientific committee, IPOL has an editorial board.

The members of the editorial board commit themselves to provide expert technical help to the authors to write their article for the web and design an online demo for their algorithm. They can be directly contacted by authors planning to submit an article, and can also be asked by the coordinating editor to work on an article project.

The role of the editor of a published article is acknowledged in the article. When their role includes an extensive code correction and improvement, the editor may become co-author of the final article with the consent of the authors and of the coordinating editor.

The editorial board grows by cooptation. Researchers interested by this role can contact us.
